While on felony parole, the defendant was stopped for a traffic offence and a substantial amount of heroin was found inside the vehicle.  Once detained by the police, the defendant initially told officers that the heroin did not belong to the defendant.  Over the course of the interrogation, the defendant falsely confessed to having knowledge of the presence of heroin, location of purchase and elements of distribution.
